There are no requirements for hardware or software on your local machine as the data is processed and anonymized on remote servers and made available to you.
For images, standard formats like .jpeg,.jpg are supported and video formats such as .mp4 are supported. We are always updating the support formats in further releases so feel free to reach out to us if there is a format that you would like us to support.
We can guarantee that our platform will work with resolutions up to 4K. If you have images/videos in higher resolution you want to process, contact us to arrange it for you.
You can select the files of images and videos with the supported format and upload them onto the browser for the processing of the files to be anonymized.
Automask AI supports data uploads via FTP ,FTPS & SFTP server. You can share access credentials of the server of your own choice to upload data to be processed to the Automask AI platform.
Our solution is hosted and processed in the AWS environment to guarantee safe and secure access for users’ data.
You will receive a download link once the data is processed and anonymized which can be used to download.
We anonymize the data using our in-house developed state-of-the-art computer vision model that can detect and blur the license plates of vehicles and faces in the images/videos. We retain the integrity of the raw image in terms of resolution, size, and metadata and make it available for the users once the data has been anonymized.
Only the region in the image/videos where there are license plates and faces are detected undergo the blurring to be anonymized. Thus, in compliant in protecting the identities of people and vehicles that were part of the collected visual data.
We always try to accommodate the processing of data as fast as possible, although the processing time depends on the size of data. As a rule of thumb, the processing time will be higher for high–resolution images/videos than for normal–resolution images/videos.
No, we do not store any of the images or videos that are uploaded till the moment the download data is made available to client. Once the processing of the imagery/videos is completed the data is also flushed out of our domain.
Yes, it is possible to view your history of credit usage, remaining credits, from the processed data volumes associated with the credits.
The user is charged as per the data volume of imagery processed using the Automask services. The applicable prices for images and video files can be found on the pricing page.

For browser uploads a limit of 2GB per file applies. For FTP upload there is no limit.
All data traffic is uploaded through encrypted channels. All data storage and processing on our cloud environment is compliant with ISO regulations on privacy and cloud security.
A JSON file will be provided that indicates per image or per video frame whether a face or license plate was detected. The attribute in the JSON file can be translated as the information below for the image and video files.
For each image file the corresponding json file will contain below attributes information.
Filename: Name of the file that is anonymized for which the Bbox export is generated.
Predictions: Contains detection details of bbox, class_id of the file detections.
bbox: The rectangular area where the object is detected,defined by xmin, ymin, xmax, and ymax.
xmin: The x-coordinate of the top-left corner of bbox.
ymin: The y-coordinate of the top-left corner of bbox.
xmax: The x-coordinate of the bottom-right corner of bbox.
ymax: The y-coordinate of the bottom-right corner of bbox.
Class_id: Class ID of the detected object (0 / 1)( 0 = License Plate, 1 = Face)
For each video file the corresponding json file will contain below attributes information.

Performance in detecting license plates and faces has a direct relation with the input data source. We have tested our solution on a global imagery comprising around 160+ countries’ vehicle License plates and faces to find that our state-of-art model can detect, and blur License plates and faces accurately. Based on tests done on publicly available datasets, our Automask AI solution detections are benchmarked at detection recall accuracy for License plates on Caltech dataset at 99.61% & PP4AV face detection recall accuracy at 75%. We recommend users test a sample of your data to validate our Automask AI anonymization performance.
Unfortunately, the user is not allowed to change the subscription tiers once signed in and alternatively need to create a new sign-in for the intended subscription tier.
Our policy is to close a user account if there is no activity observed on the account on service usage for 6 months. So please ensure to consume the credits on your account in time.
Depending on the user tier you have subscribed to, there is a minimum value allowed to top-up credits. Please refer to the pricing tier page for the latest information.
